Ingredients:nobody has posted up any recipe yet. i think they are waiting for me to post one first :ppppp hahahaha. so... first recipe i'd like to share here is "tumpi". there are two kinds of "tumpi" actually; "tumpi malas" and "tumpi banar". but today, i'm just gonna share "tumpi malas" as i cook "tumpi malas" more often than "tumpi banar" cause it doesn't take long to prepare. so here goes......inda payah rasa, cium bau saja... - "master chef" BB
4 tablespoons plain flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
water (reasonable amount)
cooking oil
Method:
mix the first 3 ingredients together in a bowl using a whisk but as for myself, i simply use a tablespoon. in this recipe, it doesn't matter which one you use actually. and note that, the final batter shouldn't be too thick and too thin. the consistency of the batter is similar to that of fritters' batter. after the batter is ready, preheat the frying pan of your desired size with a little bit of oil on a medium heat. then pour the batter into frying pan. cook over a medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. the more golden brown the colour, the crispier the "tumpi". i personally like it to be crispy. it's up to you how you would like the texture to be. so good luck!
Served With:
condensed milk, peanut butter, honey, chicken curry, etc
